Two of Nike's OG Air Max 98 colorways are nearing their return, as the "Gundam" and "Navy/Yellow" colorways are coming soon to stores. While the sneakers were originally slated to drop on January 18th in the US, stateside retailers have confirmed with us that the release of the navy/yellow is now January 26th, and the "Gundam" has been postponed to February 24th. 2018 is gearing up to be nike free trainer a big year for the 98, as it is celebrating its 20th anniversary, which should lead to an uptick of drops for one of the more underutilized Air Max designs. Originally debuting in 1999, the Air Max Deluxe utilized the full-length Air unit from the 97 model, but with a completely redesigned upper that featured a sock-like neoprene upper, a molded heel, and a classic tongue construction. The Deluxe model never really got the recognition, but this flashy model made use of some wild colorways thanks to printed graphics on the aforementioned neoprene. The dotted lines that track around the shoe added to the sporty look of the shoe, while the TPU overlay added some structure to the model. After the initial debut with the "Dark Stucco" colorway in late December, the Swoosh is following up with an attractive matte silver colorway that features a slight iridescent tint that emanates a shimmering rainbow effect. Contrasting the flashy Foamposite is a white leather lace collar and interior with an opaque outsole. Nike's clearly taking extra focus on the females, with the "chrome" colorway of the Air More Uptempo dropping in the States soon. Expect this Air Foamposite One release at select retailers such as Renarts on January 25th.
